Saturday 7 June: Small Revolutions
A celebration of community cycling
Activities from 12 noon - 5pm with a celebration bike ride
at 5.30pm, Hornbeam Centre, 458 Hoe Street, Walthamstow E17
(near the Bakers Arms junction).
Come along to a day-long celebration of cycling. There will
be practical workshops, films, training, bikes for sale, advice
and lots of information to help get you and your family out
on your bikes this summer.
All events/workshops are free Café open all day All
ages welcome
What’s on:
12-5pm Information stalls and bicycle powered
entertainment. - Sign up for a free cycle training lesson
and find out about family bike rides in Waltham Forest.
Second hand bikes for sale from Waltham Forest Bike Recycling
Project.
1 – 5pm Bring your bike for a free
check and simple repairs. Note: 1-2pm for women only.
Bike security tagging provided by Waltham Forest Cycling Campaign.
1– 3pm Beauty and the bike: be safe,
be seen Make your own colourful bike decorations – suitable
for all ages.
1-2pm Cycling question time An opportunity
to discuss the ins and outs of cycling, with local experienced
and enthusiast cyclists on the panel.
2-3pm The way forward – discussion
What can we do to encourage cycling in Waltham Forest and
support people to enjoy healthy, safe cycling?
3-5pm Bicycle shorts A selection of cycle-related
short films.
5.30pm Celebration cycle ride Join a friendly
ride through the streets of Walthamstow.
This event is brought to you by the Hornbeam Centre, and
supported with activity from Waltham Forest Cycling Campaign

London Borough of Waltham Forest's cycling team.

Cyclists Tea outside 5 Waterside, Coppermill Lane.
Sunday 15 June: Family Bike
Club
Short ride suitable for families with younger children, with
brunch (veggie, family and bike energy friendly and value
for money) available en route at the Hornbeam Centre.
Meet 12.30 outside St Mary's Church (Orford Road/Church Lane
junction), or 12.45 at Hornbeam Centre, 458 Hoe Street.

14 - 22 June: Bike Week
Details to be confirmed but there will be a Tour de Waltham
Forest type event on the Sunday 22 June.
Sunday 20 July: Family Bike Club
Meet 1pm on Sunday 20 July, 10th August, 21st September, 12th
October outside St Mary's (Orford Road/Church Lane junction)
for a short sociable ride.
Maximum distance 8 miles there and back, may be considerably
less (depends on capabilities of those who turn up).
